Safeguarding
Safeguarding means protecting people’s right to live safely, free from abuse and neglect. It is about everyone working together to prevent and stop both the risks and experience of abuse or neglect, while at the same time making sure the adult’s or child’s wellbeing is promoted including, where appropriate, having regard to their views, wishes, feelings and beliefs in deciding on any action.
Hope Nottingham is a member of Thirtyone:eight - an Independent Christian Charity offering a complete safeguarding solution for churches, charities and organisations. Their vision is to see a world where every child & adult can feel, and be, safe. They provide training, consultancy, DBS checks and a 24-hour helpline, as well as leading the way in informing legislation and promoting high standards in practice.
